Bogue Chitto Swamp Cabins  is a Campground & RV Park nestled on the Scenic Bogue Chitto River that offers a variety of properties for short-term stays, including Cabins, Lake Houses, and Full HookUp RV Sites. Please note that we are not affiliated with the Bogue Chitto State Park and that our location is more than 20 minutes away. 

We are located with in a small town named Enon, but we maintain a Franklinton, Louisiana address. Our address is 47762 Lazy River Lane, Franklinton, Louisiana 70438. 

 Driving Directions: 

If Traveling From I -12 Baton Rouge, Follow I -12E to LA 445 N, then take LA-40 E to LA-1080 N/N Factory Road, turn left on North Factory Road, then take another left onto LA-437, then turn left at the caution lights on to HWY 16 then proceed a couple miles down and take another left onto Lazy River Lane (You will pass a cemetery and take the very next left onto a concrete road). 

If Traveling from I12E Slidell, Follow I -12W, take Exit 63B to merge onto US-190 W/N Hwy 190 and head towards Covington. Take a slight right onto LA-437/N Lee Road, then take a left onto LA-40W/LA-437, continue on for several miles until you reach the caution lights where you will take a left onto HWY 16. Proceed a couple miles down and take another left onto Lazy River Lane (You will pass a cemetery and take the very next left onto the main concrete road). 

Note: The Town of Franklinton is only about 15 minutes away. Covington is about 25-30 minutes, the Mandeville Lakefront is about 45 Minutes depending on traffic. New Orleans is about 1 hour away depending on traffic. 

Yes, our property is located on the Bogue Chitto River, however, we do not have any cabins or Lake Houses that are directly located on the banks of the Bogue Chitto River at this point in time. Although, all guests have access to the Bogue Chitto River as well as its sand bars along our property. You can either walk or bring your golf cart to visit the river. We urge all guest to check out the beautiful and scenic river and we can't wait to be able to offer more accommodations that are near the river.

No, we do not currently offer any RVs for rent.

Bogue Chitto Swamp Cabins & Rv Park has 120 acres of land to roam which includes hiking trails, golf cart trails, miles of river access, 3 ponds for fishing, and more!

Our standard check in time is 4pm and our check out time is 11am. If you need an early bird check in or a late departure please contact us in advance so we can help accommodate this need, there is a fee of $40 per request. Check out instructions are also included within each unit so that you are able to review the instructions easily. We look forward to your stay with us!

As we grow, we look forward to joining efforts with other local businesses, including Zona ATV Recreation Park which is a local SXS riding park, all local tubing venues, The Bogue Chitto State Park, White Sands Beach, The Castle, local Restaurant, and many more to bring life to our campground and in the process allowing us to offer more to our guests! Considering we try to maintain this as a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere, we do look forward to announcing certain weekends that will offer a chance to have live music and get togethers of the sort in our Pavilion that sits in the middle of the property in the near future. Even hosting events for the kids like a s'mores night and jump stations on big holiday weekends! We have big plans for our future and we look forward to sharing it with everyone! 

We have a two night minimum on all of our cabins, cottages, and RV sites. Our maximum nights stay is 28 days, with the exception of our Snowbird Rates that allow up to 180 days with a valid Canadian Residency or state that experiences most of the year in snow (at owners discretion for this approval). Cancellation fees occur where a reservation is cancelled within a certain period of time between your cancellation date and reservation date. For example, all reservations canceled 30+ days or more prior to your reservation date then you will receive a full refund (100%). If you cancel 15-29 days prior to your stay you will only receive a 50% refund and any reservations made between 0-14 days will NOT receive any refunds, no exceptions. We understand that life happens and cancellations are inevitable, however, we will follow this strict cancellation policy until further notice. Thank you!

Bogue Chitto Swamp Cabins & Rv Park allows golf carts only. We will have rental options available soon, but you are also welcome to bring your own golf cart for a small fee. (Electric or gas carts are welcome). Side by sides (SXS) and four-wheelers are NOT allowed on our trails or in the general riding areas around the property. You are welcome to bring them and unload them for our nearby riding park Zona ATV Recreation Park. Please note that only golf carts are allowed around the roadways and trails within and around the park at all times. There are no exceptions to the recreational vehicles , you will be requested to load your bikes and trailer them 100% of the time if this rule is broken. Also, there is no washing or cleaning on our campsites of any SXS or Four Wheelers after visiting Zona or other riding parks, the same applies to vehicles. Please visit a local car wash to remove debris and mud from your vehicles. Thank you for being considerate and understanding. 

We understand that pets are part of the family and welcome them in our campground & RV Park with the exception of Lake House 1 and Cabin 3 There is a maximum of (2) Pets allowed. Exotic animals are forbidden, no exceptions.  See below for more information regarding our Pet Policy. 

• The standard Pet Fee is $35 Per Pet/Per stay 
• All pets must be kept on a leash at all times when outside of your RV and should never be left unattended.
• Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets promptly and properly. Waste disposal stations are conveniently located throughout the park.
• Aggressive or excessively noisy pets may be asked to leave the park at the discretion of management without reimbursement or credit to early departure due to request to leave property due to the aggressive or noisy pet. 
• Please be considerate of other guests and ensure that your pet's behavior does not disturb or pose a threat to others.
• Maximum Number of Pets allowed per Unit is 2. This will be added to your reservation if it is not added at the time of booking. You agree to this additional fee to bring your loved one with you to stay at our property whether they are kenneled outside or inside this fee still applies. Thank you for understanding. 
• Lake House 1, Cabin 3 are [Pet-Free] with no exceptions. We reserve these for those who have medical allergies related to pet dandruff. If you are caught with a Pet in the Lake House you will be asked to leave with your pet, which will terminate your remaining stay with no reimbursement and a pet fine of $200 in order for us to make the environment safe and clean of all pet particles. Thank you for understanding this request and being considerate to those who are not able to have a Pet or be near them.
