Our Story
We purchased Bogue Chitto Swamp Cabins in September of 2023 with the idea of bringing the Park back to life and open to everyone so that they could enjoy what the river life has to offer.
The cabins were originally built & operated in 2015 by Susan & Brian Hennick. They had a dream of creating one of the best recreational campgrounds on the Bogue Chitto River, and if you are familiar with the area or had the pleasure of visiting before you will understand why this is such a great location for this to exist. And if you have stayed on the property in the past prior to ending short term rentals in early 2020 due to the unexpected loss of Susan, then you are also familiar with how much Susan took pride in maintaining the cleanliness of the cabins and the attention to details in the property owned & maintained!
So, of course we are happy that we are still able to keep this beautiful piece of property in the family and to be able to share it through short term rentals again as well as the having the opportunity to expand! There will be plenty of continued efforts in growing the park and making it a great destination for all to unwind and relax. We look forward to seeing you around our campground soon! And also a big thank you to all of those who have continued to keep The entire Hennick Family in your thoughts and prayers since Susan's untimely passing.
Our Property
We have a curated selection of properties, including rustic yet cozy cabins, beautiful & quaint country cottages, and deluxe RV Sites.
